18 musicians form this orchestra, led by the british composer and pianist Vladimir Miller. Miller, deriving from a russian emigrant family and born in Chile, lives in Russia since the early 90's. He travelled a lot and performed with nearly all russian jazz musicians. By this, he got a deep insight into contemporary russian music.

Moscow Composers Orchestra

CD cover

Moscow Composers Orchestra not only consists of moscow musicians. You will find musicians from Moscow, Smolensk, St. Petersburg, Vologda and Amsterdam; 'live at City Garden' hosts Sainkho Namtchylak from Tuva and Heinz-Erich Gödecke from Hamburg. But all of them have a strong connection to Moscow and so this title is ok.
